Pain Diary, be a scientist

Pain Diary, be a scientist

You’ve often heard me ask about your life situation, that is the context within which your injury and pain resides. This is because the scientific research tells us that the experience of pain and disability not only varies with our activities but equally varies depending on our mood.

In today’s World of war, political change, famine, climate disasters etc it is difficult not to be influenced by the news in a negative way.

Why not try a little experiment to prove whether the scientists are right or wrong. Keep a pain diary and take note what was going on when your pain was better or worse. If you see a correlation then you have discovered that not only your activities but your thoughts, feelings and emotions influence your well-being.

We can’t change the World, but we can change our thoughts, feelings and emotions giving us some control over our pain and disabilities. Wow, Isn’t that empowering? Don’t seek to be fixed, be a part of the fixing!

Be a scientist and keep a diary…..
